Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor Degree with relevant discipline from any recognized university of Bangladesh.
Job Context:
∎ WorldFish Bangladesh is hiring an Intern for our Procurement Department. The Intern will be responsible to support the Procurement Unit of WorldFish Bangladesh.
∎ The intern will be based at WorldFish Country Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Interviews are expected to be held in December 2019 and only shortlisted candidate will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence in December 2019 for an initial three (3) months internship contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding situation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supplier management including sourcing, due diligence process and related enlistment activities.
∎ Raising quotations, quotation analysis, preparing tender and procurement documents.
∎ Participate in opening of tender, proposals, quotations and assist in drafting the evaluation.
∎ Updating procurement status report.
∎ Follow-up and communicate with suppliers for delivery of goods/services, invoice and other relevant activities.
∎ Facilitate customs clearance for international consignment in consultation with the Procurement Manager.
∎ Organizing and maintaining procurement documentation and filing.
∎ Audit preparedness and related follow up actions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Major in Supply Chain Management is highly encouraged to apply.
∎ Should have excellent organizational and time management skills.
∎ Great team worker and excellent interpersonal skills.
∎ Self-organized and proactive and good analytical skills.
∎ Should have sense of urgency and ability to deal with situations diplomatically and sensitively.
∎ Effective communication in written and verbal both in Bangla and English.
∎ Sound computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
Salary:
∎ A monthly stipend in ranging between BDT 15,000- BDT 20,000.
