Job Context:
∎ Looking for Instructor RAC/SMO/BBSP/ Caregiving/ Mobile Phone Servicing.
∎ E. A. Choudhury Technical Institute (EACTI) is a not-for-profit modern, large, and state-of-the-art Technical and Vocational Institute at Dakkhin Surma, Sylhet (14 km from Sylhet City towards Fenchuganj) with an aim to craft an education system, which would be more suitable for the 21st century. The institute is located at 6.5 bigha land at Daudpur, Dakkhin Surma, Sylhet with constructed building area of 40,145 sq. ft. including administrative building, academic building, and modern workshop. This training institute is approved by Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) & National Skill Development Authority (NSDA). The institute has partnered with large companies in different industries in Bangladesh and offers job placements for students, poor and unemployed persons.
∎ Intention of the institute is to spread technical education on non-commercial basis i.e. at free or nominal cost to both the students and under-privileged people to find ways to support them, particularly the women to become self-reliant. In accordance with rules and regulations of BTEB & NSDA the institute started skill based (360 hours) courses and CBT&A NSC Level-1 to 5.
∎ i.e. Tailoring & Dress Making, IT and Computer, Driving & Auto Mechanics, Language and softer skills. To ensure quality education the institute intends to recruit Full-Time instructors for the (1) Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, (2) Sewing Machine Operation, (3) Block Batik and Screen Printing, (4) Caregiving, (5) Mobile Phone Servicing Trade from qualified candidates of Bangladeshi nationals.
∎ Job Location: South Surma, Sylhet (14 km from Sylhet City towards Fenchuganj). Housing facility will be provided at the institute.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To identifying inner potentials of students, nurture their talents by creating an enabling environment for their development and growth.
∎ To ensure high-quality skills training as per approved syllabus and prepare lesson and session plans for effective training in accordance with competency standard and curricula.
∎ To provide necessary support to the institute for mobilizing targeted number of trainees
∎ To support and maintain all electronic and hardcopy documents (i.e. Admission Register, Attendance Register, Student Diary, Students' Personal Files, Lesson Plans, Lecture Sheets, Progress Reports, Tabulation Etc.) relevant to the job.
∎ To ensure at least 90% students' attendance through attractive, enjoyable and participatory class. To give special attention to persons with disabilities (Pwds) and students from other disadvantaged groups and ensure support to achieve expected learning outcomes.
∎ To ensure implementation of competency-based training and assessment.
∎ To support implementation of RTO & RPL assessment.
∎ To conduct ICT aided skills training through developing and collecting of required materials.
∎ To ensure Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Compliance are well understood and adhered. All Students Are Properly using Occupation Specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at training labs/workshops.
∎ To maintain a safe and healthy environment in workshop and institute premises.
∎ To ensure all equipment, furniture, materials are properly recorded, maintained, and stored.
∎ To participate in Performance Management process, proactively identify gaps and potentials, and contribute to staff development activities.
∎ To ensure maintaining Trainee Tracking System, Program database, and timely reporting.
∎ To ensure formative and summative assessment of the students & check the assessment sheet. To identify low-achiever and give proper attention necessary to help them reach required competency standard.
∎ To maintain discipline within classroom and school premise and take necessary action.
∎ To support preparing budget of institute and ensure its effective and efficient implementation.
∎ To ensure effective and efficient usage of teaching and training materials and keep proper records. To ensure proper management and record keeping of wastages, by-products, finished products.
∎ To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary. To arrange guardian meetings, community meetings and other social network activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum Diploma in Engineering in relevant subject / Graduation degree
∎ Must be competent in an occupation skill certificate in the relevant occupation
∎ CBT&A Level-4 Trainer & Assessor Part competent candidate would be added advantage.
∎ Two years of industry skills and one year's training skills would be added advantage.
∎ At least 1 year for Diploma Engineering and 3 years for Graduation degree.
∎ Relevant professional experience would be added advantage.
∎ Good command on communication skills in both Bangla and English
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable, team player and passion for social development works
