Job Responsibilities:
∎ Business Development
∎ Develop the Micro Insurance customer segment in line with GLIL's Strategic and Annual Business Plans
∎ Develop contacts at a senior level with existing and prospective MFIs and Agent Banks to distribute GLIL insurance products through their nationwide networks.
∎ Oversee the introduction of new products and tailoring of existing products to MFIs and Agent Banks
∎ Promote GLIL as the country's largest micro insurance provider to stakeholders including; MFIs/Agent Banks/Regulators/General Public.
∎ Grow revenues by exploring new business opportunities to increase access additional market segments.
∎ Maintaining and develop strong partnership relationships with the existing & prospective clients.
∎ Supervises overall the performance of the micro insurance sales and business support team.
∎ Preparation of various statements for Board, Management & Regulatory bodies.
∎ Customer Satisfaction and Retention
∎ Identify industry best practices and ensure GLIL provides the best customer relationship experience and support to our customers.
∎ Implement processes to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
∎ Engage customers in regular discussions to transfer knowledge about GLIL's product offerings/solutions and understand their issues/ concerns.
∎ Coordinating with customer servicing staff to ensure timely service.
∎ Increasing insurance awareness and product penetration among NGOs, MFIs and Bank's customers and Bank staff members.
∎ Product Innovation & Diversification
∎ Provide feedback from market and customers to Actuarial Dept. for continuous improvement/ ideation for new product and processes.
∎ Ensure timely dissemination of knowledge on products, market updates.
∎ Provide accurate and timely competitor updates/ best practices.
∎ Designing customized products meeting customers' need.
∎ Identify and meet customer needs and product gaps in total product/ service offering.
∎ Ensure products services and operations are regulatory compliant.
∎ Review, monitor and report on market and competitor activities and take necessary measures to revise Guardian Life Insurance's plans if required to protect and aggressively grow market share.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 37 years
∎ Preference would be given to candidates having specialized insurance education.
∎ 10 year Senior Executive level experience in Financial Services/Consumer focused industries
∎ Managerial skills:
∎ The job holder should have a high level of managerial ability/self-confidence and be able to work with minimal supervision.
∎ The job holder is an active member of MANCOM and team player.
∎ Motivate and develop the Micro Dept. team members.
∎ Ensure we recruit the best talent.
∎ Maintain a high level of communication with the Micro Team.
∎ Ensure good inter department coordination and communications.
∎ Highly effective Project Management skills.
∎ Specialized & Technical Skill:
∎ Previous experience in life insurance industry at a senior executive level is preferred but not essential.
