Responsibilities & Context:
The Head of Finance & Banking will lead overall financial and banking operations, including financial planning, cash-flow, budgeting, taxation, compliance, and risk management.
The position will also be responsible for direct liaison with Bangladesh Bank and commercial banks, including Bangladesh Bank Incentive schemes, Loan Refinancing, New loan arrangements, Loan restructuring, and other banking facilities, while providing strategic financial advice to Management.
The Head of Finance & Banking shall provide timely and reliable financial information and support informed business decisions, operational efficiency, profitability, sustainable growth, and long-term financial stability .
Lead and oversee Finance, Accounts, Treasury, and Banking operations.
Directs long-term corporate financial strategies to maximize shareholder value and increase Return on Equity (ROE).
Monitor and identify Bangladesh Bank incentive and refinance schemes applicable to the company.
Ensure timely submission of applications and supporting documents for export incentives/cash assistance.
Coordinate with banks and Bangladesh Bank regarding incentive claims, approvals and disbursements.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank circulars, foreign-exchange regulations and related guidelines.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and management accounts.
Monitor cost control, production costing, profitability, and financial performance.
Manage banking facilities, loans, LC, BG, and other financial arrangements.
Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure proper financial governance.
Monitor changes in Bangladesh Bank policies and assess their financial impact and opportunities for the company.
Advises the board on optimal balance sheet structuring, asset-liability matching, and capital allocation frameworks.
Ensures accurate compilation of all balance sheets, cash flow statements, and statutory books according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Commercial, Export and Audit teams for compliance and claim preparation.
Provide strategic financial advice to Management and lead the Finance & Banking team.
