Job Context:
∎ Location : Rangpur division office
∎ Plan International Bangladesh is looking for Head of Central and Northern region programme who will be primarily base at Rangpur division office and oversee distant team based in Bangladesh country office in Dhaka. This position will be responsible for management of programs and projects having location mostly in central and Northern region including but not limited to Rangpur division .H/she shall support team in build and manage relationship extensively with diverse actors mostly at divisional level in mentioned two region. Apart from that the person will be coordinating and holding a leadership role in the development and implementation of a coherent and quality programme portfolio spanning multiple programmatic disciplines. This position ensures regular management support though visiting project and extend on-job support that should cover 50% of total staff time.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Head of Central and Northern region programme is a key member of programme management and implementation team. The post holder will oversee projects in Rangpur and adjoining divisions and projects with multi-location national focus and reach. The portfolio consists of large projects that have a national reach, including strong influencing actions, targeting the local and national level.
∎ This post holder will collaborate with members of the programme and implementation, programme development & learning, influencing and operational teams. The incumbent will maintain strong working relations with the thematic leads to ensure timely technical input to deliver quality program and capture learning.
∎ Under the leadership of the Director Programme Management and Implementation, the Head-CR&NP is accountable for the implementation of a coherent and quality programme portfolio spanning multiple programmatic disciplines. The role has operational responsibility for the Rangpur Divisional Offices that currently includes 2 field offices. The post holder is expected to make regular visits to all programme location, and to spend extended periods outside of their designated work station.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We need a dynamic & vibrant individual who brings momentous experience with 5 years of senior level program management experience in complex projects and programmes. In addition, candidates having Strong representation, relationship building, negotiation; and influencing skills, often at very senior level, both internally (Plan International Bangladesh and the National Offices) and externally will add extra value.
