• Experienced: 3+ years proven experience in furniture design and/or engineering within a factory or manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software; knowledge of rendering software is a plus.
• Understanding woodworking, upholstery, metalwork, and/or other furniture manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, ergonomic standards, and sustainability practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate creative ideas into practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, production, sales).

Position Overview

Executive Woodworks Limited (A leader in global furniture & 100% export focus) are seeking Furniture Designer/Engineer (Skilled & Entry level both) to join our manufacturing team. This role bridges creative design with engineering precision, ensuring that furniture concepts are both aesthetically appealing and manufacturable at scale. The Furniture Designer / Engineer will be responsible for developing designs, producing technical drawings, selecting materials, and collaborating with production teams to bring furniture from concept to finished product.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine furniture designs that balance aesthetics, function, durability, and cost efficiency.

• Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and production specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Key Shot or similar).

• Collaborate with factory production teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing processes, materials, and machinery.

• Conduct prototyping, testing, and adjustments to designs for quality assurance and ergonomic performance.

• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware while considering sustainability, cost, and durability.

• Work closely with sourcing and procurement to ensure material availability and compliance with safety/industry standards.

• Resolve technical challenges on the production floor, providing engineering support to streamline manufacturing.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, ergonomics research, and new technologies in furniture design and production.

• Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and quality control checklists.
