Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is one of the leading development organizations in Bangladesh. Health Sector of DAM is running drug treatment and rehabilitation centers and implementing Tobacco Control Program along with it`s other program like primary health care program, communicable and non-communicable diseases prevention program, nutrition program and mental health care program. DAM is going to implement the "USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activities (BNA) Project" and looking for competent and self-motivated individual for the following position.
∎ Finance & Accounts Specialist will be responsible for providing necessary support to Bangladesh Nutrition Activity district team. S/he will closely work with the district BNA team, donor and finance focal of DAM and will support her/his line manager in daily operations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review/check all payment requests, i.e., Vendor, Third Party, Consultant and Staff of DAM, Donor policy, and GOB policies and procedure.
∎ Provide entry by ensuring availability of all supporting documents, prepare vouchers (Payment Voucher & Journal Voucher).
∎ Develop Budget as per guidance of donor, Technical Director, Finance focal of DAM and amend/revise when needed.
∎ Work with the Technical Director to prepare budget for donors and financial applications.
∎ Prepare Burn Rate and Budget Variance Report for the project management.
∎ Generate financial reports from the system and analyze for the Project Management, Donor, DAM Management- as needed.
∎ Assist to analyze overhead budget and cost recovery, update management monthly of spending and income achieved.
∎ Assist to prepare and ensure submission of FD-2, 3, 4 & 6, etc. at NGOAB with relevant documents and collect certificate for smooth project operation.
∎ Ensure statutory compliance regarding VAT, TAX from various bill as applicable rate.
∎ Maintain all payment documents and ensure documentation in place.
∎ Reconcile Vat and Tax ledgers regularly and report to her/his line manager.
∎ Prepare financial statements for Audit and facilitate statutory and Donors' Audit coordination with DAM Finance Unit.
∎ Prepare monthly statement for incurring balance items of the projects implementing.
∎ Prepare financial statement/accounts to facilitate and support.
∎ Assist her/his line manager to manage contracts with externals regarding the administrative support of the project.
∎ Assist her/his line manager to coordinate donor/auditor and provide required documents.
∎ Assist her/his line manager to prepare, analyze and present management report for various projects and DAM management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
∎ Age not more than 50 years.
∎ Working experience with USAID funded nutrition, market system project will add value.
∎ Excellent computer skills in accounting software, databases, word, excel, and other software.
∎ Able to maintain coordination and communication with donor, district team, DAM finance unit and relevant officials.
