Job Responsibilities:
∎ Graphic Design Skills: Strong graphic design skills are fundamental. This includes an understanding of color theory, typography, layout, and composition.
∎ Animation Principles: A solid grasp of animation principles such as timing, spacing, easing, and keyframes is crucial for creating engaging and visually appealing motion graphics.
∎ Software Proficiency: Mastery of motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. Proficiency in other software like Cinema 4D or Maya for 3D animations can be beneficial.
∎ Storyboarding: The ability to create storyboards to plan and visualize the motion graphics project before starting the actual production.
∎ Video Editing: Proficiency in video editing software to assemble and edit footage is essential. Adobe Premiere Pro is a common choice. Creating Digital Ads, Promotional Videos, Brand Awareness Videos, etc.
∎ Illustration Skills: The capability to create custom graphics and illustrations that can be incorporated into motion graphics projects.
∎ Photoshop: Photo editing, Creating GIFs, banners, posters, leaflets,s or other static graphics.
∎ Typography: A strong understanding of typography, including choosing appropriate fonts, kerning, tracking, and hierarchy, is crucial for effective communication.
∎ Motion Graphics Techniques: Familiarity with various motion graphic techniques, such as kinetic typography, character animation, and data visualization.
∎ Compositing: Knowledge of compositing techniques to integrate motion graphics seamlessly into live-action footage or other visual elements.
∎ Video Formats and Codecs: Understanding different video formats, codecs, and their implications for quality and file size is vital.
∎ Sound Design: Basic sound editing skills to synchronize audio with motion graphics and create a cohesive user experience.
∎ 3D Animation (Optional): Proficiency in 3D modeling and animation software like Cinema 4D or Blender can open up additional opportunities in motion graphics.
