Role Purpose
To support the Corporate Affairs function by ensuring timely regulatory compliance, licensing renewals, and effective coordination of garden-level legal matters through external counsel, minimizing regulatory and legal risks across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
1. Garden Legal Coordination (Through External Lawyer)
Coordinate with appointed garden-level external lawyers regarding litigation, land disputes, labour court matters, and other legal cases.
Maintain and update litigation tracker with case status, hearing dates, and financial exposure.
Ensure timely documentation, case papers, and management approvals are provided to external counsel.
Escalate legal risks or delays to Assistant Manager promptly.
2. Regulatory Licensing & Compliance
Ensure timely renewal and compliance of all statutory licenses.
Maintain a centralized license database.
Coordinate with relevant government authorities for inspections and approvals.
Ensure zero lapse in statutory renewals.
3. Land & Property Documentation (Garden Focus)
Coordinate matters relating to mutation, lease, land tax, sale/purchase, etc.
Liaise with land offices, sub-registrar offices, and local authorities.
Maintain secure and updated records of deeds, agreements, and land documents.
4. Corporate Documentation & Record Control
Maintain structured repository of legal documents, agreements, and compliance records (hard & soft copy).
Support preparation and execution of agreements, deeds, and contracts.
Ensure documentation control standards are maintained.
5. Regulatory Liaison & Reporting
Assist in statutory filings and regulatory correspondence as delegated.
Prepare monthly compliance and litigation status reports.
Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB preferred) or related field.
2–5 years of experience in Corporate Affairs / Legal Coordination / Regulatory Compliance.
Practical exposure to government licensing processes and land documentation.
Willingness to travel to garden locations as required.
