Education:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

• Completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from a recognized institution.

• At least 1-year intensive post graduate training/ certificate course on Anaesthesia from a recognized institution.
• Completed post-graduate qualification (FCPS, MS, Diploma) on Anaesthesia will be an added advantage
• Registration license from Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council.

Experience Requirement:

• Should perform anaesthetic procedures in OT independently
• At least 2 years of experience working in Anaesthesia department.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Languages: Proficient in the English language

EOC Trained Doctor (Anaesthesia)

Job Location: Bhasan Char.

Job Responsibility:

• The incumbent will work as a team member with other theatre staff and specialist doctors in managing both elective and emergency surgeries including Caesarean Sections.
• Administer anaesthesia or sedation and appropriate pain management during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods in accordance to standard guidelines.
• Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications, such as provision of fluids and blood.
• Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
• Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
• Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.
• Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.
• Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.
• Confer with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.
• Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians, and other health care providers.
• Support other theatre staff and train them on proper way to provide optimal care to patients needing surgery as well as the proper post-surgery care.
• Schedule and maintain use of surgical suite, including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms, and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment.
• Keeping daily patient data and maintaining medical records along with disease profiles.
• Preparing and responding to emergencies and disasters and participate in special health campaigns as planned by local health authorities.
• Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow and counselling patients and their relatives on diagnosis and bereavement.
• Training and coaching health workers e.g. medical officers, midwives, nurses, and other support staff.
• Providing health education and support behaviour change communication for a patient during discharge.
• Perform any other roles and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 208,340.67
