Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Development Studies (MDS), Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Substantial knowledge of humanitarian systems, institutions and of procedures, accountability frameworks and best practices in emergency management.
∎ Minimum 4 years relevant experience of emergency preparedness, response and disaster risk reduction frameworks and approaches.
∎ Meaningful participation in DRR/CCA project activities.
∎ Communication and media/IT skill.
∎ Good command in both English and Bangle spoken and written.
∎ Skills Required: Environment/ Disaster Management

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure coordination between Safety Unit Volunteers and Community Health Workers (CHW) and other relevant actors.
∎ S/He will provide leadership around emergency preparedness, response and DRR across his/her assigned camp.
∎ S/He will ensure and enable that ADRA team is able to meet minimum operating standards for emergency preparedness
∎ Work closely with DRR focal points of the other organization working in the camp
∎ Build emergency capacity within the camp teams around emergency preparedness and response
∎ Respond effectively and efficiently to emergencies
∎ Work closely with DRR specialist, team leader and deputy team leader
∎ Lead camp level DRR initiatives
∎ S/He will support and enable his/ her assigned camp Office to Meet back office requirements for all emergencies
∎ Share best practices as related to resilience building
∎ Provide leadership to the emergency response in camp and lead in any new emergency response that may emerge.
∎ Ensures that Team Leader and CiC are well informed on issues related to emergency preparedness and response and emergency risk management pertaining to all vulnerable families;
∎ Ensure production of high quality, analytical reports, supply of regular sitreps, and collection, analysis and dissemination of relevant information and data relevant to the response.
∎ Evaluate, monitor and review to ensure strict compliance of programme activities with ADRA and national policies and procedures and with relevant donor regulations and agreements, SPHERE guidelines and the NGO code of conduct.
∎ Represent ADRA's emergency response to local authorities, donors and members of the humanitarian community.
∎ Ensure establishment and maintenance of strong working relationships with Rohingya Refugees and local communities, and NGOs.
∎ Support and motivate emergency team members, ensuring that team members have clear objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performance.
∎ Where appropriate, ensure that capacity building of country programme staff occurs in order to ensure ongoing sustainability and quality of the response.
