Responsibilities & Context:
- Perform electroplating operations as per defined procedures for Copper, Zinc-Nickel, and Zinc-Chrome Hanger Plating.
- Operate and monitor plating machines, ensuring correct settings for voltage, current, temperature, and timing.
- Prepare metal parts for plating, including degreasing, cleaning, masking, and surface treatment.
- Check chemical levels and assist in maintaining proper solution concentrations as instructed by the Plating In charge.
- Inspect plated parts for quality, thickness, and surface finish, identifying and reporting any defects.
- Handle plating equipment and chemicals with safety and caution, using proper PPE at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of plating area and tools, ensuring a safe and organized working environment.
- Assist in chemical stock refilling, waste handling, and proper documentation as directed.
- Record daily production activities and report any machine faults or process issues immediately.
