Responsibilities & Context:

• Monitor and maintain all main and sub-distribution panels to ensure stable power throughout hatchery units (broodstock, nauplii, larval rearing, algae, and Artemia sections).

• Check voltage and current balance regularly to avoid overloading or phase failure.

• Maintain and operate backup power systems such as diesel generators and automatic changeover switches (ATS).

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, pumps, blowers, control panels, and generators.

• Maintain control systems for aeration timers, lighting, and temperature regulation.

• Maintain proper lighting systems for broodstock, larval rearing, and algae production rooms.

• Replace faulty bearings, capacitors etc. as required.

• Repair and replace LED fixtures, fittings, and wiring when required.

• Support installation of AC, UV sterilizers, chillers, and heaters used for water quality control

• Ensure electrical safety standards are met throughout the facility

• Coordinate with mechanical and hatchery operations teams for integrated system performance.

• Maintain inventory of spare motors, switches, control units etc.

• Be on-call during night shifts, power failures, or critical equipment breakdowns.

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
