Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position like tax-saving opportunities, evaluating the tax implications of business decisions, and providing recommendations to management.
∎ 2. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations at local, national, and international levels.
∎ 3. Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and any other required tax filings.
∎ 4. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and make necessary adjustments to the organization's tax processes and procedures to remain compliant.
∎ 5. Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Coordinate responses to tax notices and inquiries, working with internal teams and external advisors to resolve tax controversies and minimize any potential penalties or liabilities.
∎ 6. Identify and assess potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement internal controls and processes to ensure accurate and reliable tax reporting.
∎ 7. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to gather necessary information and ensure tax compliance in various business activities.
∎ 8. Collaborate with executive leadership to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
∎ 9. Communicate tax-related matters to senior management and the board of directors, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
∎ 10. Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, promoting professional development and ensuring effective tax operations within the organization
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
