Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the Project Manager in overall project management tasks including financial, administrative and other management and leadership activities of the project.
∎ Provide timely strategic advice on project implementation.
∎ Supervise timely financial reporting, budget tracking and resource allocation processes, including donor and internal reporting processes.
∎ Coordinate purchase requests and service contracts with team members and World Fish Bangladesh finance personnel.
∎ Supervise all arrangements/contracts with partner organizations.
∎ Develop a healthy and supportive work environment for all team members, and manage internal conflicts, if required.
∎ Ensure scientific & development lessons learned are captured by the organization and used for maximum benefit for the project.
∎ Support the Project Manager in identifying and securing new partnerships with key organizations, both public and private.
∎ Succeeds in ensuring the project reaches its small-holder income, nutrition and women's empowerment and other goals as part of inclusive aquaculture sector growth brought about through a market system approach.
∎ Ensures the quality of field activities of WF and partner field staff.
∎ Ensures the on-time delivery of technical and financial reports to WorldFish, donors and others as needed.
∎ Succeeds in delivering timely responses to queries and requests from World Fish senior management and donors.
∎ Develops and expands professional networks and partnerships for the IDEA project.
∎ Develops a high performing team that exemplifies international best standards with regards to equal rights and discrimination.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven 10 years of experience in project management, preferably after having obtained the aforementioned degree.
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and multi-country project management experience is an advantage.
∎ Understanding of market systems as they are used in aquaculture/agriculture sector development.
∎ Have significant experience in programs working with women and rural smallholders in agriculture and/or aquaculture, with a focus on nutrition and/or income generation.
∎ Experience in training and capacity building.
∎ Proven proficiency in spoken and written English with strong speaking and report writing.
∎ Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently.
∎ This is a senior management position, the candidate will need to demonstrate outstanding self-organizing capabilities, autonomy, and responsibility and team work skills.
∎ Able to be an independent and effective decision maker under pressure.
∎ Able to plan and forecast under uncertain conditions.
∎ Profound understanding of Bangladesh's development sector, its players and networks. Meaningful connections in government, private sector and with NGOs is an asset. Strong analytical skills to project management, including task programming, monitoring and resource allocation.
∎ Expertise / knowledge of commercial and small-scale aquaculture in Bangladesh.
∎ Experience in aquaculture related research and development projects.

Salary:
∎ This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with approximate annual salary ranging between BDT 2,658,862 - BDT 3,082,350 per annum.
