Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Writing and developing editorial content like blog posts, articles, social media posts, scripts, messages, creative copies.
∎ Planning and developing creative social and multimedia campaign and content with necessary optimization.
∎ Producing communication and branding materials for web, social media, and publication in cooperation with programmes, campaigns, and functions. The range of materials would include, but not limited to, country annual report, newsletter, brochure, case study book, diary, calendar, infographic, factsheet, reports, presentation, animation, campaign, and promotional materials etc.
∎ Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to generate compelling content, including the CD.
∎ Develop, review and update content for websites, social media pages and public communications, including thought-leadership pieces.
∎ Thoroughly review, restructure, and edit write-ups, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
∎ Visiting relevant fields on content development purpose.
∎ Manage the editorial and content calendar.
∎ Responding and field-covering any emergency situation and humanitarian crisis in any location in Bangladesh.
∎ Reviewing humanitarian communication content developing and publish through effective media channel optimization.

∎ Job Summary: In the Deputy Manager - Communication role, ActionAid Bangladesh is searching for a dedicated storyteller who can eloquently articulate narratives inspired by ActionAid's rooted justice spirit. This individual will craft compelling stories that echo with the diverse array of people we serve and collaborate with. Through various media and platforms will amplify our mission, inspiring action and promoting a collective vision of justice. The Deputy Manager- Communication is responsible for supporting the Communication Manager in managing overall communication efforts by ActionAid Bangladesh. S/he is solely responsible for content writing and development, from planning to quality control of communication content under the supervision of the Communication Manager, to engage various audiences effectively. s/he will collaborate and closely coordinate with both internal and external parties to produce compelling content across multiple platforms, including social media and websites. The role also involves planning and designing different communication campaigns. Additionally, the Deputy Manager- Communications will develop and review communication strategies and guidelines to align with AAB's objectives. S/he will conduct skill-building sessions within the team and among stakeholders.
∎ Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
∎ Content development, planning and quality control

∎ Relationships: The person holding this position will be directly reportable to the Manager - Communications of ActionAid Bangladesh. S/he will maintain a functional relationship with her/his peers and other cross-functional teams, which includes but is not limited to programme team, project teams, resource mobilisation team, and other functional priorities. The incumbent will closely work with the ActionAid International Communication team.


Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be BDT. 105,722 with other admissible benefits such as medical insurance for staff and immediate family members, group life insurance, mobile & internet allowance etc, as per HROD Policy.
