Responsibilities & Context:
1. Financial Reporting & Strategic Planning
· Finalization of Accounts: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS and local laws.
· MIS Reporting: Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget) for top management.
· Budgeting: Coordinate the annual budgeting process, including setting cost-reduction objectives and financial forecasts.
2. Treasury & Working Capital Management
· Fund Management: Monitor daily cash operations and ensure working capital availability.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Affairs (VAT, Tax & RJSC)
· Ensure handling VAT & Income Tax related matter of different concerns of the group to ensure the measures that comply with all fiscal laws including Income Tax, VAT & Company Law.
· Ensure proper documentation, control and maintain necessary records with respect to income tax-related issues, TDS, VDS, VAT & AIT & other hearing-related documents.
· Matters related to RJSC- to prepare necessary documents for filing of annual return with RJSC/Incorporation of new company/Amendment in MOA/Increase in Share Capital/Issue of New Shares/Appointment of new directors/any other Jobs with RJSC.
· Corporate Affairs-Customs Duty and other regulatory matters with different stake holders (e.g. Customs/VAT/NBR/BGMEA).
· Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary liaison with NBR, RJSC, customs, and external auditors.
4. Costing & Operational Control
· Garment Costing: Verify product costing (yarn, knitting, dyeing, finishing, trims) to ensure cost centre wise profitability.
· Internal Control: Develop, monitor, and implement SOPs to strengthen internal audit, control inventory, and minimize risks.
· Payroll Management:
· Review salary, bonus, overtime (OT), and final settlement sheets for workers and staff.
· Ensure payment within scheduled time frame through digital platform.
5. Leadership & Team Management
· Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build capacity within the Accounts & Finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
· ERP Management: Ensure proper usage of software for business operation, accounts records & HRM.
