Experience:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Management, Finance
• Masters

• Master’s degree or MBA in Accounting, Management, Finance

• CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent/ part or fully qualified /CPA/ Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)/ Certified Fraud Examination (CFE) will be an added advantage

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Qualification

• Excellent knowledge of VAT and tax rules of NBR;

• Excellent knowledge of International Accounting Standards;

• Excellent knowledge of International Auditing Standards.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in internal or external auditing including in an international setting.

• Minimum 3 (three) years’ proven work experience in a busy finance or audit department, with special preference to work experience in NGO/INGO;

• Hands-on experience with designing and executing successful audits;

• Hands-on experience in coordinating donors’ audit;

• Experience of preparing risk matrix and, presenting reports and analyzing data;

• Basic experience in conducting and learning investigations independently as well as in team.

• Sound knowledge of ICT and data analytics specifically in excel, Expertise to evaluate the adequacy and usefulness of data analytic tool.

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

• Ability and willingness to travel frequently.

SOS Children’s Village International is probably the largest private child welfare humanitarian organization working more than 130 countries and territories in the world. In Bangladesh, we started our operations in Dhaka in 1972, and since then we have expanded our activities from here to Rajshahi, Khulna, Bagerhat, Chattogram, Bogura, Kurigram and Sylhet.

SOS Bangladesh is seeking competent candidates for the smooth operation of the following positions.

• Location of job: National Office, Dhaka

• Nature of Job: Contractual (One year with renewal based on performance and fund availability)

Area of Responsibilities:

• Develop and compile a comprehensive risk-based Annual Internal Audit Plan covering all key operational, financial, and compliance areas within SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh

• Conduct Internal audits of all functions in SOS Bangladesh. Conduct internal audits in other Member firm Associations, if assigned.

• Perform internal audit as a team leader of SOS Partner Organization both downstream and consortium as per the annual audit plan and based on design audit program.

• Review & identify noncompliance of Sub Grant Agreement, Donor compliances, NGOAB's & NBR rules.

• Ensure the accuracy, reliability & transparency of record keeping & documentations of Partners.

• Monitor and establish pre-audit activities at the country level for donor audit.

• Drive and support other functional experts, being part of the internal audit team as an anchor point.

• Perform full audit cycle including risk management and control management of operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance as per agreed standards and guidelines.

• Determine internal audit scope; develop and drive action plan accordingly.

• Provide technical support to various departments for mitigating audit findings and future risk

• Share summary audit findings to the management team with suggestion on area of improvement

• Obtaining, analysing and evaluating financial and accounting data in different functions (data analytics)

• Prepare and keep track of Internal Audit report/s finalization reflecting audit findings and recommending necessary steps and actions to mitigate the risks.

• Ensure all compliance in SOS Bangladesh. Assist National Management Team & Senior Leadership Team to make rules and reporting tools for controlling and avoiding non-compliance.

• Conduct or support investigations into suspected fraud, financial irregularities, or breaches of organizational policies and compliance requirements

• Adhere to the guidelines of Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct, Sexual Misconduct Regulation (PSHEA) and other policies guidelines of the organization.

• All other works assigned by National Director.
