Job Responsibilities:
∎ Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, the Dean will lead and administer the School. The Dean will be expected to continue to contribute to the overall vision and strategies of the School in research, training, education and advocacy and ensure quality outputs.
∎ Specific responsibilities include:
∎ Leading the School to enhance its reputation for impact in Global Health
∎ Leading by example in securing large, globally competitive grants and conducting exemplary high-impact research and producing scholarly publications
∎ Providing leadership to promote effective management of large, globally competitive grants
∎ Encouraging high-quality and inter-disciplinary scholarship among faculty, often through direct mentoring
∎ Ensuring that management systems in the School are in place for effective utilization of physical, fiscal and personnel resources of the School

Additional Requirements:
∎ The position requires candidates to have:
∎ An earned doctorate from a prestigious university, with a minimum of two decades of experience in Global Health
∎ Considerable previous management and leadership experience in an academic department, research institution or other organization
∎ Substantial research background and expertise, with experience writing and being awarded globally competitive grants and managing projects
∎ Outstanding track record of publications, and experience mentoring junior colleagues
∎ Considerable experience of international networks and partnerships in Asia and beyond
∎ Familiarity with context of Asia, Africa and other regions
