Job Context:
∎ The Field Coordinator will be overseeing the overall implementation of farmer markets activities within WV catchments. Major responsibilities include project implementation and reporting, community engagement, documentation and knowledge management. He/she will supervise the entire project team.
∎ S/He will report directly to the Food Assistance Manager
∎ The Coordinator Farmers Market will provide overall management and technical guidance to the implementation of role out and implementation of Farmers Market development initiatives under the Food Assistance Program.
∎ This position will be accountable for planning, support, technical expertise and management of the project so that activities and outputs remain on track.
∎ The Food Assistance program contributes to the goal of saving lives and alleviating suffering affected people in due to the Refugee influx in Rohingya Camps under Cox`s Bazar District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical expertise and support to improve capacity of the Response staff and partners in order to effectively deliver Food Assistance Program.
∎ Provide technical support for the adaptation, implementation, monitoring and reporting of Food Assistance initiatives/projects and be accountable for the technical quality of the projects and cross cutting themes mainstreamed under the Food Assistance Program.
∎ Leads retailers in participatory value chain analysis
∎ Facilitates meetings between retailers and other actors
∎ Carry out market study /analysis to understand the market demands and supply of selected commodities, , Retailers capacity, producer capacity, existing products, markets and value chains, in the target area
∎ Strong understanding of value chains and ability to lead research team to undertake value chain analysis
∎ Identifies market solutions to gaps, such as quality, quantities, packaging or transport and actual potential orders that are likely to lead producers to conduct more profitable transactions
∎ Produces research reports and regular monitoring reports
∎ Shares research findings and information with programme staff
∎ Assists in developing a framework that will be effective in measuring the impact and 'return on investment' on part, or all, of the initiatives
∎ Plays a leading role in community workshops.
∎ Take overall lead in the coordination of field level activities
∎ Capacity building of market actors including retailers, beneficiary structures in relation to farmer markets demands to ensure desired quality
∎ Coordinate partners in implementation of agreed action plans.
∎ Ensure proper beneficiary sensitisation and mobilisation to access food assistance through farmer markets project
∎ Integration of project with other on-going WV projects including food assistance, WASH, protection, Gender.
∎ Ensure all Gender and Protection issues that arise during distribution are addressed and escalated as per protection guidelines.
∎ Liaise with other partners (Protection, WASH, Security) to ensure issues pertaining these sectors are adequately addressed in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure all payment requests are prepared on time and submitted for approval in a timely manner.
∎ Coordinate with technical teams (Gender & Protection, A, M & E, Finance) to conduct relevant training for community structures in the respective zones.
∎ Facilitate the identification, designing and implementing of appropriate training needs for Camps staff and refugees communities
∎ Oversee Accountability and Help Desks are functional and CRM is operational.

∎ Minimum 3 years' experience with NGOs or international development organisations in food security/ nutrition/ emergency project (Refugee Context) or programme. Essential

∎ Understands business principles and market-based approaches. Essential
∎ Strong understanding of local economic development and ability to diagnose and assess local economies. Essential

∎ Proven experience in designing, implementing and monitoring large food security and livelihood programmes. This includes designing all necessary formats and training staff in the implementation. Essential
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Power Point, SPSS & other database program. Essential
