Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Must be well conversant with Company's Act, Insurance Act, BSEC Act & Rules, RJSC, DSE, CSE, CDBL Rules, IDRA Circular, Rules & Regulations.
∎ Drafting of notices, agenda, notes, minutes of EGM, AGM, Board, EC and all committee meetings and ensure implementation of Board decisions.
∎ Maintenance of all statutory records.
∎ Preparation and filing of documents/returns in compliance of regulatory requirements.
∎ Any other responsibility as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Ability to work independently under time pressure.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills to deal with management.
∎ Ability to keep a good spirit in stressful situations.
∎ Candidate should be dynamic, result-oriented.
∎ Must have excellent oral and written communication & negotiation skills in English.
∎ Familiar in automated computerized system.

∎ Business : Eastland Insurance Company Limited (EICL), a first generation Non-life insurance company was incorporated on November 5, 1986 as a public limited company under the Companies Act 1913 (at present 1994) with the vision to be one of the Par excellence non-life insurance companies in Bangladesh. It obtained the Certificate of Registration for carrying on insurance business from the Chief Controller of Insurance on November 22, 1986. The company started its business with an authorized capital of Tk. 100 million and paid up capital of Tk. 30 million. Meanwhile, both authorized capital and paid up of the company have been enhanced to Tk. 1000 million and Tk. 738 million respectively. Eastland is an “A” category listed company both the stock exchanges.
Eastland has been offering a comprehensive range of insurance packages from its 28 branches throughout Bangladesh, which includes Fire, Marine, Hull, Motor, Industrial All Risk, Engineering, Aviation, Contractor`s All Risks (CAR), Overseas Mediclaim Scheme and Miscellaneous Risk. All departments and Branches of EICL are online and functioning smoothly with ERP software Computer Integrated Insurance System (CIIS).
EICL received "AA+ (Double A Plus)" Rating from CRISL based on its sound financial performance and claim paying ability. The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) awarded Eastland with the `Best Corporate Award` in the Non-life Insurance sector for four consecutive years and also awarded `Certificate of Merit` by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) for the Best presented Annual Report. The company stepped into 33 years of its successful operation and during this long journey the company has now attained the height of sound financial strength and enviable goodwill, thus being categorized among the `Top-Five` in the Non-life insurance sector.
