Job Responsibilities:
∎ Main Tasks & Responsibilities: The Communications Analyst is the focal point for media and communication activities in the Head of Sub Office. He/she provides substantive inputs to media, communication and advocacy aspects of project formulation, planning and implementation.
∎ He/she works collaboratively with programme staff in the UNFPA Sub office and with regional and headquarters communication and media specialists in UNFPA and other agencies.
∎ The Communications Analyst will work in close collaboration with Cox's Bazar Programme and Operations teams, to ensure consistent and high quality visual materials.
∎ The Communications Analyst will create compelling visual communications products through meeting, collecting stories and interviews that promote the work of UNFPA and highlight issues that UNFPA is advocating for in Cox's Bazar. S/he will also assist in designing and finalizing regular products such as sitreps, reports, fact sheets and other products. She / He will also contribute to event planning and donor relations.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 2 years of field level experiences in collecting stories, content development and for social media* graphic designing and other communication work related to humanitarian and development aspects.
∎ An understanding of the Rohingya political context, and experience working with the Rohingya population in Bangladesh.
∎ Ability to speak Bangla, Chittagonian language or Rohingya would be a highly valuable asset;
∎ Excellent video production skills, including special effects.
∎ Excellent web skills.
∎ Excellent oral and written communications and editing skills in English.
∎ Demonstrated team player in an international team environment.
∎ UN common system experience, especially field experience, is desirable.
