Job Context:
∎ Job Nature: Full-time
∎ Contract Duration: Contract till May 31, 2024 with Waterkeepers Bangladesh (WKB), administered by the Blue planet initiative (BPI). Job contract is subject to the availability of donor funding and satisfactory performance.
∎ Contract Starts: Immediate
∎ Reporting to: Manager, Research and Implementation

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on organization's target audience.
∎ Make and distribute content including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
∎ Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
∎ Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists and maintain a media database.
∎ Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
∎ Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
∎ Develop, lead and oversee the implementation of WKB's Advocacy strategy.
∎ Lead advocacy efforts on identified advocacy priorities representing WKB to Bangladesh Government including other stakeholders.
∎ Maintain effective partnership with different Ministries and Departments of GOB including MoE, MoWCA, MoHFW, MoSW, NCTB, TTC, DSHE, DSS etc. and with departments of BRAC, especially with Knowledge Management, Central Communication, Advocacy, Technology and Social Innovation
∎ Support in implementing project capitalization strategies, organizing events, and collecting quantitative and qualitative data of interventions.
∎ Support in preparing reports and proposals as per project requirement.
∎ Monitor and collect impact stories from the field to produce case studies as per requirement.
∎ Minimum 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in research, communications, or development.
∎ Excellent writing, speaking, and listening skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop);
∎ Ability to proactively learn (coachability), observe, and adapt with the project objectives.
∎ Equally at ease with both field and desk work with problem-solving skills.
∎ multitasking ability.
∎ Can work independently and in teams as and when required.
∎ Demonstrate ability to work as a team player with good work ethics and a cooperative mindset.
∎ Excellent aesthetic sense, proficiency in graphic designing tools (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), and photography skills are desirable.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of experience in project and program management.
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience on donor-funded programs/projects is required;
∎ Proven experience of managing large projects is required.
∎ Shall have the capacity to write standard reports both in Bangla and English.
∎ Familiar with financial budgeting and reporting.
∎ Strong skills in project/program management, grant management, and sub agreement management required;
∎ Ability to use Microsoft office software for analysis and report production.
∎ Highly skilled in team coordination, networking, mobile apps use.
∎ Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bengali required.

Salary:
∎ Monthly Consolidated salary BDT 55,000-60,000 and one festival bonus. There is no PF or Gratuity provision. Following the HR Manual other benefit will be applicable.
