Purpose:

To assist the Consultant & Coordinator with an integrated team work and committed professionalism in providing multi and super-specialty Medicare.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:       

• Follow hospital practices and demonstrate initiative alignment to ensuring the safest possible environment for patients and staff.     
• To attend all clinical meeting and workshops and actively participate in paper presentations.  
• To be part of training programs conducted in the hospital and to take continuous initiatives for knowledge and skill up gradation.     
• To be involved the teaching programs that is held by the department.
• To oversee the activities of the Trainee Medical Officer (TMO) and guide them.      
• To be an active member for the quality initiatives of the hospital.     
• Any other responsibility assigned by the Coordinator / DMS office. 
• He/ She should be part of the quality improvement of JCI documentation process of the hospital.  

Duties:

• Mainly entrusted with USG of the patients coming for health check-up.
• Examination is done under the supervision of consultants designated by coordinator.
• Utmost care is taken to ensure that USG exhibits to the actual state of affairs of the patients.
• Patients are handled carefully, softly and politely so that they are satisfied with the manner of doing USG.
• Extra care is taken to patients who are shy and hesitant. They are assured that there is nothing to be afraid of, only thing he / she is required to do is to keep quiet and listen and do what is asked for.
• During USG findings are recorded in the computer and images are printed.
• Care is taken to ensure that findings recorded corresponds to the images.
• After USG report is generated and sent along with images for counter signing by the supervising consultants.
• After counter signature reports are passed on for delivery to the patients.
• In critical / VIP patients HOD to be informed.
• In addition to doing USG of the patients of Master Health Check, USG to other patients as asked for is also done when necessary.
• In addition to USG any other work are also attended when necessary.
• To perform call duties in rotation according to the call duty register maintained by the department.
• Will participate in training / academic activities of the department and hospital.
