Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS), Master of Development Studies (MDS)
∎ Skills Required: Climate Change, coherent and analytical report writing skills, Computer Operating, Creative Script Writing, Environment/ Disaster Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Visit climate change affected areas
∎ Climate change related project proposal writing and report writing
∎ Conduct studies to evaluate changes in climate
∎ Feature and Script writing on Climate Change.
∎ Review national climate, disaster risk and environmental policies, frameworks, strategies that shed light on the policy and financing space for climate change.
∎ Design and implement Climate Change focused activities.
∎ Ensure that Climate Change component is included in all relevant approaches, manuals and designs.
∎ Develop methodology and report outline for any relevant study.
∎ Collect and review existing scientific literature regarding climate change.
∎ Extensive study on climate change adaptation and mitigation in Bangladesh context.
∎ Produce comprehensive reports on climate change issues.
∎ Support in documentation and knowledge management regarding the Climate Change initiatives.
∎ Any other task that management ask to do.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Bangla and English Typing.
∎ Moderate knowledge on computer operation is required.
∎ Advanced degree in climate science, earth science, environmental science.
∎ In-depth knowledge and professional experience from climate change adaptation and/or disaster risk management research, programming, or evaluation in Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated excellence in narrative reporting.
∎ Fluency in English and excellent analytical and writing skills.
∎ Profound knowledge of policies and tools such as: Bangladesh Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan 2009; Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100; Environment Conservation Rules 1995; Mujib Climate Prosperity Plan Decade 2030; National 3R Strategy for Waste Management 2010;
∎ Knowledge on climate related International Treaties & Conventions.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to provide effective support and to collaborate and coordinate across different teams from diverse background.
∎ Experience in working with government, donors would be added advantage
∎ Experience in policy analysis, development work in the area of climate change and related issues.
∎ Experience in development planning would be added advantage.
