Job Context:
∎ CVC Finance Limited, an innovative and professional Financial Institution licensed by Bangladesh Bank focusing on promoting new venture, entrepreneurship and sustainable green prosperity. Currently CVC Finance Limited invites applications for the following position:
∎ Reports to: Managing Director & CEO
∎ Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the financial and risk management operations including development of financial and operational strategy, monitoring of control systems designed to preserve the company`s assets and reporting of accurate financial results.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Effectively establishing Policy, Manuals, Guidelines, Checklists, Review programs and Strategies for unique & sound direction of Company's operations to achieve business objective in a compliant & cost-effective manner.
∎ Capable of financial planning, controlling, budgeting and supervising the overall financial and accounting activities of the Financial Institutions independently.
∎ Provide professional guidance to all concerned including necessary advise to Management on the matters relating to financial, accounting, taxation etc. as and when required.
∎ Overall supervision and management of Accounts departments' activities.
∎ Ensure companies profit & loss and balance sheet, other regulatory reporting to regulators and external agencies.
∎ Ensure compliance with the guidelines on corporate governance of regulations/directives issued by Bangladesh Bank.
∎ Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors and ensures that all compliance issues are met, and preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with IAS/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
∎ Ensure that a robust primary and secondary Compliance & Control environment is in place in the Company.
∎ Ensure all recommendations appearing in various internal, external, regulatory audit. Compliance Review reports are implemented in an appropriate manner.
∎ Ensure mandatory payments, regular payments are made on time in coordination with Treasury department.
∎ Prepare appropriate control mechanism are set for the target achievement, calculation of payments are accurate and error free.
∎ Obtain information on the latest auditing and compliance/ control standards and guidelines from IDRA and other professional associations.
∎ Ensure a sound compliance & control culture persists in the Company and enhance competency of other department.
∎ Ensure proper reporting & certifications and operational processing ensuring service level expectations are met or exceeded.
∎ Maintain a good relationship with, and presenting a professional image of the unit to, local regulators, internal/external auditors, businesses, and MANCOM and providing them with the required information.
∎ Conceptualize, develop and implement plans for new liability products with the ultimate goal to contribute to the profitability of the NBFI and so on
∎ Develop a corporate liability strategy and Marketing strategy for a particular city/region and execute it
∎ Distribute sales target of Corporate Liability/ Deposit among the team, prepare daily/weekly/monthly client visit plan for the RMs/ARMs and guide them to strictly follow the prepared plan
∎ Enhance deposit base of the NBFI to support NBFI's lending growth and improve deposit mix through various initiatives and strategies specially the Public Sector Deposits
∎ Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Managing Director.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The candidate should have at least 15 years practical experience in which at least 5 years exposure in banks/non-banking financial institutions or at least 5 years as a CFO/Head of Finance in a large conglomerate.
∎ Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy. A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize.
∎ Should be able to work under pressure and must have mental resilience.
∎ Experience in managing multiple priorities.
∎ Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
∎ Excellent IT skills, including a working knowledge of presentation software packages
∎ Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
∎ Cost Management skill
∎ Passionate about finance/banking industry
∎ Strong Financial acumen and analytical ability
∎ Biased to technology driven process
∎ Passionate about innovation (product, process & technology) and process efficiency.
∎ Professional & deadline based
