Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 7 institutions and 15 donor funded projects.
∎ DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of C19RM Coordinator of "Prioritized HIV Prevention and Treatment Services for Key Population in Bangladesh" Project implemented by Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), funded by Global fund and principal recipient by icddr`b.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ COVID -19 Response Mechanism activities:
∎ Develop periodical work-plan related to C19RM and HTS/STI related activities;
∎ Planning, organizing and implementing C19RM related activities through consulting and coordinating with the DIC staff (including Peer Educators), community network and beneficiaries;
∎ Collaborate with field team to ensure smooth implementation of planned C19RM activities as per the work-plan; resolve any queries in order to maintain compliance with the work-plan; monitor budgets and escalate any issues; review the work-plans periodically and make necessary changes based on any lags from previous months in order to create a road map for achieving activities in an effective and efficient manner;
∎ Organize training/orientation for the other C19RM staff on relevant issues;
∎ Organize and facilitate PPE training for existing staff of the service centers;
∎ Review and monitor the progress of C19RM services;
∎ Conduct monitoring visits to different implementation sites to review the performance of on-site field staff;
∎ Coordinate with PSM team to ensure timely procurement and supply of logistics;
∎ Co-ordinate with exiting programme for proper linkage with existing project activities;
∎ Oversee STI and HTS issues of HIV programme including work plan of MA, sessions, achievement, PLHIV referral and treatment adherence etc;
∎ Execute any other assignment as per the requirement of the Global Fund Project, icddr,b assigned by the supervisor;
∎ Perform programmatic activities of the HIV intervention under the Global fund project of icddr,b;
∎ Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports
∎ Maintenance of clinical records and reports:
∎ Ensure reporting formats are duly maintained by the Peer Educators, MA and SCs In-Charge/Manager;
∎ Ensure that weekly/monthly reports are duly prepared and forward to M&E section on stock balance and use of PPE/Hygiene kits/consumables;
∎ Reporting:
∎ Ensure proper and timely submission of reports of C19RM activities to M&E section;
∎ Share the findings of field visit to M&E specialist and TL and other relevant team members;
∎ Prepare the monthly and quarterly report;
∎ Regularly coordinate with the HTS/STI Focal person or any designated member of PR team through sharing of reports through TL and regular verbal communication.
∎ Capacity Building of SCs staff:
∎ Be completely familiar with the concepts of quality issues and also on COVID-19 as well as on STI/HIV/AIDS and remain updated on changing concepts/ideas in this area;
∎ Identify training needs and skill deficiency of the Peer volunteers, MAs and service providers and organize orientation and training as per needs;
∎ Provide on the job training to the Peer volunteers, MAs and service provider during visit if required;
∎ Provide support as a trainer as and when required.
∎ Comply policies of Global fund/ICDDR, B:
∎ Ensure that all treatment and ethical issues are followed as per standard;
∎ Ensure compliance of ICDDRB and global fund requirements are met.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply;
∎ Sound communication skill both in English & Bangla;
∎ Proficient in reporting;
∎ Adequate skills in computer applications, Microsoft Word, Excel;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
∎ Sound Knowledge in public health or related field;
∎ Ability to work independently;
∎ Minimum 1 year of experience in the COVID-19;
∎ Previous experience working on HIV / Hijra community will add value;
∎ Willing to work with Hijra community.
