Experience:
Master’s Degree in any discipline. Having a professional degree (e.g. MPH, MDS) or certificate course relevant with this position would have added an advantage.
At least 8 years of relevant experience with an NGO/INGO having project/program within that at least 2 years of experience in managerial role.
Must have experience in microcredit management/community-based savings and loan schemes.
Proficient in MS Office packages (Especially, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
The candidate should be willing to ride motor cycle and have valid driving license issued by BRTA.
Have an experience in project audit, FD-6,7 approvals.
Strong communication skills both in verbal and written in English and Bangla.
Proven knowledge on project management, strong financial management, HR management work-planning and reporting systems.
The Disadvantaged People’s Organization (DAPA) is an association of the people affected by leprosy and disability, founded in 2008 working to achieve DAPA vision ‘Improved Quality of life with dignity & Equal Rights for people affected by Leprosy, Disability and Disadvantages’. It has been working at Chattogram for the social rehabilitation of people affected by leprosy, disability and social exclusion. Currently, DAPA invites the applications from the interested and eligible candidates for the following position.
Job Summary:
The Association Manager (AM), who reports to the Executive Board of the association ‘Disadvantaged People’s Organization (DAPA)’, is in charge of carrying out the Association`s operations in an efficient and effective manner. The person will be responsible implementing ‘project’ activities directly, overseeing and supporting as appropriate.
The Manager will work closely with DAPA employees to fulfill their duties in delivering project outcomes while coordinating closely with leaders of the Association and Federation.
Responsibilities:
Operations
Prepare and support the Association and all Federations for strategic planning and activity design.
Monitor and revision of work plans and budgets, in close collaboration with the Federations
Ensure that Association and Federation activities and outputs are delivered when required to achieve the project`s intended outcomes
Ensure the efficient delivery of outputs in line with Work plan.
Provide ongoing and structured advice, and guidance to Association Committee and Federations
Supervise DAPA staff and conduct some HR activities-recruitment, staff appraisal, training, grievance issues etc
Ensure project/partner’s compliance to all Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and policies.
Tenure of service will be 2 years from the date of joining.
Financial Management
Ensure Association’s effective financial management and accountability
Exercise financial approval authority for expenditure within the approved budget and Association’s financial approval delegations.
Monthly Budget oversight and submission of revised expenditure plans for approval by DAPA Board
Monitor monthly income and expenditure of DAPA and share with the Board.
Collaborate with TLMIB, on behalf of the Association Executive Committee
Prepare accurate financial report in due time and submit to DAPA Board, registered authority and donor.
Communications and Liaisons
Prepare and timely submission of quality reports in English to the donors, Association, Registered authorities, local Government and TLMIB.
Liaison with Go B line authorities, NGOs, forums and networks.
