∎ Proven experience as the finance head or relevant role in the not-for-profit sector.
∎ An in-depth understanding of the regulatory and legal framework, compliance requirements, and knowledge of Bangladesh accounting and tax regulations in addition to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
∎ Capacity to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
∎ Effective communication and decision-making skill are required.
∎ Experience on SUN, accounting software is preferable.
∎ Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of HFH

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems and processes.
∎ Oversee the organization’s accounting and finance functions. and staff in the National Office and field office, ensuring the efficient application of proper accounting standards; lead the account closure activities as applicable.
∎ Leads the design, development and finalization of all balance sheet reconciliations (bank accounts, prepaids, deposits, accruals, depreciation, etc.) on regular fashion;
∎ Ensure the reliability, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
∎ Ensure qualitative financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders
∎ Facilitate both internal and external audits as well as respond to internal and external audit recommendations in a timely manner. Ensure that major financial risk issues and gaps in systems as highlighted in the internal audit are addressed.
∎ The Associate Director - Finance (ADF), a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh (HFHB) reporting to the National Director, is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning of HFHB. S/he will provide leadership to the finance team and collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial resources are efficiently allocated to support the organization's mission and objectives.
