Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Providing one-on-one attention to students who need additional support with their studies.
∎ Taking attendance and recording grades in class registries.
∎ Providing academic support through one-on-one instruction in reading, writing, math, science, or social studies.
∎ Working with the teacher to create an engaging learning environment that encourages student interest and engagement.
∎ Helping children with their daily needs such as feeding them lunch or putting them to bed.
∎ Helping children understand the rules and routines of the classroom and school through modeling appropriate behavior.
∎ Encouraging social interaction and emotional development through activities such as arts and crafts, playtime, and circle time.
∎ Participating in staff meetings to discuss individual student needs, classroom activities, upcoming events, and other topics relevant to the classroom.
∎ Observing students to identify any behavioral issues that may require intervention by the principal or counselor.
