Skills Required: Knowledge of both Knit and Woven garment manufacturing

Additional Requirements:
  • 10–12 years of relevant experience in woven & knit merchandising with local buying experience.

  • Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, accessories, costing, and compliance.

  • Excellent buyer/vendor negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders independently.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, ERP/MIS systems preferred.



Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Manager with 10–12 years of proven experience in woven and knit product categories. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in local buying, product development, costing, vendor management, and order execution from concept to delivery. This role will closely collaborate with clients, suppliers, production, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery within deadlines.

Merchandising & Product Development

  • Manage full merchandising operations for woven & knit product ranges.

  • Oversee product development, sampling, approvals, and buyer communication.

  • Analyze market trends, price benchmarking, and new raw material sourcing.

Local Buying & Sourcing

  • Coordinate closely with local buyers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Select and negotiate with vendors for best pricing, MOQ, and lead time.

  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance standards.

Order Execution & Cost Control

  • Prepare costing sheets, negotiate price, and review budget feasibility.

  • Monitor order tracking, T&A planning, and ensure timely shipment.

  • Resolve production issues, quality concerns, and logistics challenges.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain proper documentation for costing, approvals, and order follow-ups.

  • Prepare regular MIS reports and update stakeholders on delivery status.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with production, quality, commercial, and supply chain teams.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior merchandisers in day-to-day activities.
