Responsibilities & Context:
  • Manage and monitor overall commercial operations in alignment with company policies.

  • Manage the accounts related vouching, posting & reporting

  • Can manage & knowledge on VAT & IT related issues.

  • Assist the department head in planning, organizing, and overseeing departmental activities.

  • Liaise and follow up with banks, C&F agents, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely processing of documents and shipments.

  • Follow up and process import permits, export permits, and process necessary formalities for on-time in-house and on-time shipment.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with import/export regulations.

  • Should have adequate knowledge of HS code, the Customs Act, and other formalities.

  • Prepare yearly import and export customs statements for audit.

  • Maintain strong relationships with all external and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues promptly.

  • Support in the preparation of reports, analysis, and documentation for management review.

  • Manage all import and export commercial operations & prepare, verify, and submit L/C, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other export/import documents.

  • Coordinate with banks for LC opening, amendments, TT, FDD, and payment settlements.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer contracts, terms & conditions, and international trade regulations.

  • Book shipments, monitor cargo movement, and ensure timely delivery to ports and buyers.

  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for smooth supply chain operations.

  • Track shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery according to buyer requirements.

  • Monitor financial transactions, payments, and ensure strict adherence to company policies.

  • Assist in vendor negotiation, cost optimization, and commercial contract review.

  • Assist in risk management, identifying potential commercial risks, and recommending mitigation strategies.

  • Implement process improvements for commercial efficiency and faster turnaround.

  • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line manager or management.
