Job Context:
∎ CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA and GoB derived from a couple of project interventions. CODEC has been evolving as a people-centered development organization since 1985. From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC extended its working area countrywide.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is working in the field of Micro-Finance from the inception. CODEC is also implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day-to-day struggle.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC SHOPNER THIKANA (Quality Education for Girls & Boys in Vulnerable coastal areas of Bangladesh) Project located at Bagerhat and Patuakhali (Rangabali):
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Clear understandings about the components of the program.
∎ Provide all sorts of technical support to implement the project.
∎ Be informative with the data that are important for reporting and programmatic discussions.
∎ Makes monthly plan involving the Bridge School Supervisors, teachers, Songlap Animators and considering the DIP.
∎ Delegates the tasks and follows up regularly to have the expected results
∎ Has control over employees, their movements, performances and can provide guidance as appropriate.
∎ Visits project sites as demanded by project employees.
∎ Coordinates with Bridge School Supervisors, teachers, Songlap Animators, M&D, PM, Donor and Upazila/ Union based employees on a regular basis.
∎ Actively participates in meetings, workshops, strategic discussions and trainings.
∎ Checks the vouchers against all kinds of expenditures on a regular basis.
∎ Report writing with support from Bridge School Supervisors, teachers, Songlap Animators, M&E and PM.
∎ Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all program activities that are conducted at Upazila/Union level.
∎ Play a lead role in managing communications and developing productive relationships among Donor, local government officials, private sectors, communities and beneficiaries.
∎ Support day-to-day coordination among Union level activities in the Upazila.
∎ Facilitate liaison and overall communication and coordination among central based Donor representatives by providing support for the major components of the project.
∎ Provide technical leadership for work planning and setting of project targets, in an integrated and coherent manner.
∎ Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of progress in project implementation and achievement of targeted results.
∎ Ensure quality control and timely submission of all deliverables for upazila/union- level project activities.
∎ Coordinate and supervise communication activities in the field level.
∎ Attend and conduct different meeting, training and workshop with employees and stake holders.
∎ Assist PM to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual plan.
∎ Assist team members to prepare work plan, organize the program activities and documentation and reporting.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Salary: Tk. 47000 (Monthly)
