Responsibilities & Context:

Playpen is a leading English medium school that has been running successfully for 49 years located at Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka on its permanent campus. The school is looking for an enthusiastic professional with solid work experience in education institutions and excellent multitasking skills for the role of Admin Director.

Job Responsibilities

1. Operational & Facility Management

●     ​Supervise the daily campus operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

●     ​Oversee facility maintenance, campus infrastructure upgrades, and utility management.

●     ​Manage inventory, procurement of school supplies, furniture, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and transparency.

●     ​Coordinate school transport logistics and traffic management around the campus during peak hours.

2. Financial Oversight & Liaison

●     ​Collaborate with the accounts/finance department to monitor operational budgets, expenditures, and fee-collection processes.

●     ​Ensure timely vendor payments, contract renewals, and negotiation of service agreements.

●     ​Assist the management in long-term financial and resource planning.

3. Human Resources & Team Leadership (Non-Academic)

●     ​Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of administrative support staff, security personnel, IT support, and cleaning staff.

●     ​Address grievances, foster teamwork, and ensure discipline among the non-academic workforce.

●     ​Collaborate with the HR department for the recruitment, onboarding, and training of administrative staff.

4. Regulatory Compliance & Security

●     ​Ensure the school complies with all local corporate, educational, and safety regulations (e.g., fire safety, health guidelines, government permits).

●     ​Maintain robust security protocols, access control systems, and CCTV monitoring across the campus.

●     ​Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and community stakeholders.

5. Stakeholder Communication & Event Support

●     ​Liaise with parents regarding administrative, transport, or logistical queries/concerns.

●     ​Provide complete administrative and logistical support for major school events, parent-teacher meetings, sports days, and exhibitions.
