Job Context:
∎ Accounts Officer Tax & VAT is responsible for reviewing & reporting the VAT and Tax source deduction & return submission compliance as per current regulations and reviewing the registrations, ERC, IRC, Trade licenses renewals, agreement/deed, refund policy to ensure accuracy and reviewing the financial statement of the company in connection with relevant compliance.
∎ Job Location: Head Office, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare Company Accounts.
∎ Prepare the Financial Statements independently.
∎ Maintain financial books of accounts and statements in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the related bodies - Auditors (internal & external), NBR (Tax purpose) and VAT authorities.
∎ Preparation of Annual Financial Statement in line with Accounting Standard & Tax Law.
∎ Maintain Books of Accounts in Accounting Software.
∎ Maintain all account books/registers/ledgers etc
∎ Bank Reconciliation
∎ Documents filling for assessment purposes.
∎ Prepare & submit Companies & personal Tax Return as per gridline of Govt. income tax rules.
∎ Prepare statement & other relevant papers in support with Company's tax return.
∎ Liaison with company's auditors & assists them to prepare audit reports.
∎ Prepare all documents & papers as desired by tax office (Deputy Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner) in connection with Tax assessment of the companies.
∎ Prepare Company's appeal, tribunal & ADR Grounds.
∎ Prepare necessary documents & papers for presenting in the Appeal, Tribunal & ADR.
∎ All correspondence with VAT office.
∎ Handling all VAT related matters.
∎ Prepare group Director's income tax related all papers.
∎ Prepare Withholding Tax Return.
∎ Calculate income tax liability of Companies, employees & Directors, and expatriates.
∎ Prepare or review income tax return files of Directors, Companies & employees and ensure submitting such return in due time.
∎ Presence for hearing, assessment & settlement of income tax with DCT, ACT, and JCT and obtain clearance certificate of income tax from NRB.
∎ Ensure deduction at source of all AIT & VAT from supplier or service provider and deposit it to the Bangladesh Bank as per applicable rules & regulations.
∎ Filling appeal to the Commissioner of Taxes (Appeal), filling 2nd Appeal to the Appellate Commissioner of Taxes Appellate Tribunal and also filling Appeal to the High Court with the written argument in favor of the assesses for getting tax benefits.
∎ Ensure proper compliance with VAT Act & Rules with VAT policy.
∎ Identify and mitigate VAT liabilities and risks.
∎ Prepare and Submit Input-Output Coefficient (Mushak-4.3). Regular Check Mushak-6.3, 6.5, 6.7, 6.8, 6.1, 6.2 & 6.2.1 Prepare Monthly VAT Return & Submits (Mushak-9.1) to VAT Circle Office within the stipulated time & 6.10 as well.
∎ Prepare & issue Mushak -6.6 for VDS. Working with all form of VAT if necessary.
∎ Delivering VAT reporting, ensuring VAT compliance and identifying risk.
∎ Prepare VAT Reconciliation with accounting record & VAT Ledger.
∎ Handle VAT audit conducted by VAT Commissionerate, AG and other government authorities.
∎ Check all bills for VDS Issue. Convey the VDS applicable rate & rules to various related department.
∎ Keep up update VAT department & other related department if any new rules & regulation apply by the government.
∎ Responsible for explanation and response for NBR letter. Authorities (like as respective Circle, Zone, CAG, CIC & VAT Office) to obtain VAT benefits.
∎ All Time Correspondence with VAT Circle office, VAT Division Office, VAT Commissioner ate & other VAT authority.
∎ Prepare Monthly and Yearly VAT report as per management requirements.
∎ Vat & Tax related works in manufacturing industry.
∎ Able to execute Vat & Tax related jobs of the section independently
∎ The individual is accountable for deal with the Tax & VAT issues.
∎ Manage all the taxable income of employees & TDS related issues and also prepare & issue the Salary & TDS certificates.
∎ Ensure proper documentation and maintain necessary records in respect of income tax related issues - TDS, VDS, VAT & AIT & other hearing related documents.
∎ Preparation & shorting documents against Financial Statements for submission of Company Income Tax Return accordance with ITO-1984 & applicable Rules & Regulations.
∎ The individual will responsible to response to the NBR letters with proper explanation.
∎ Preparation of challan and issue Mushak -12Kha, Mushak-06 and Mushak -6.3 for any change/ amendment.
∎ Responsible for prepare monthly VAT Return and Withholding Tax Return u/s-75A.
∎ Responsible for obtaining VAT Registration Certificate.
∎ Assist to the HOD to ensure proper compliance as per Bangladesh Income Tax Law and VAT Act.
∎ Maintenance of VAT & TAX book of accounts.
∎ Support Tax & Vat section for documents checking & communicating with customers/suppliers for Tax & Vat related documents sharing.
∎ Input in the ERP system simultaneously to keep the adequate information.
∎ Prepare monthly return (VAT-19) as per VAT Rules.
∎ Make correspondence with customs authority and deal with VAT audit related activities.
∎ Prepare Export & Import documents, Price declaration and all other VAT related activities properly.
∎ Report on the VAT and Tax source deduction & return submission compliance as per current Finance Act /VAT Act- 1991/ Income Tax Ordinance & Rules-1984 etc.
∎ To review & report the VAT and Tax source deduction & return submission compliance as per current Finance Act /VAT Act- 1991/ Income Tax Ordinance & Rules-1984 etc).
∎ Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 31 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Having good knowledge about Tax & VAT. Sound knowledge about VAT Online.
∎ Should have sound knowledge in MS Word, Excel & E-mail, PowerPoint/ OneNote etc.
∎ Well trained and good Official Correspondence in writing, Capable of work under pressure and willing to extend working time when required.
∎ Must have practical experience in the procedure of TAX and VAT assessment.
∎ Must ensure stay with the company for at least 3 years.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: ITP
∎ ITP with Member of DTBA & BCLPS will get preference.
∎ Expert knowledge in MS Excel, Word, Pivot Table, and in any accounting ERP software
∎ Email communication
