∎ BACKGROUND OF GONOSHASTHAYA KENDRA:
∎ Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) is a National NGO. GK registered as a Public Charitable Trust in 1972 and started with two visions (a) "the fate of the poor decides fate of the country, and (b) "development of the country depends on development of women."
∎ GK has been active in responding to all significant natural disasters in Bangladesh since 1972 through the mobilization of its own and foreign resources. GK provided food aid, lifesaving medicine and treatments in its operational Upazila during flood of 1987, 1988, 2000, Tornado: 1989, Cyclone and tidal surge: 1985 1991, 1994, Cyclone SIDR 2007, Cyclone AILA 2009 in its operational areas.
∎ GK has experienced partnership with several UN agencies, INGOs, such as UNDP, UNHCR, WFP, WHO, World Bank, European Union, UNHCR, Christian Aid, Action Aid, We Social Movement, French Support Committee, Save the Children, Plan Bangladesh, Medico International, Action Medeor and many others.
∎ GK is managing 43 health centers in 19 districts, two hospitals of 250 beds, the largest dialysis center in Bangladesh where 100 people could be treated simultaneously. GK is running one University, Medical College, Dental College, Medical Technical School, Pharmaceutical Industry and a Vocational training school providing short, long and customized courses for distressed women. GK has awarded numerous national and international awards for its work on health and disaster response.
∎ WORK LOCATION:The primary work location will be the GK project office in Shamlapur, Teknaf, Cox`s bazar.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accounts Maintenance:
∎ Ensure that - all official payments are made on time, all financial transactions in conformity with a) the organization's Financial Procedures Manual and b) any relevant donor requirements
∎ Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to donors monthly/quarterly/yearly following the donor template within the deadline
∎ Ensure all accounts documents, including bills, receipts and dockets, are safely and securely filed according to organizational procedures
∎ Monthly reports on project base shall be submitted to Cox's Bazar/Action Medeor office.
∎ Reviewing income and outgoing invoices
∎ Maintain and preparing budget
∎ Working in collaboration with Internal Auditor, External Auditors, and other Accountant.
∎ Making payment to various service providers.
∎ Preparing and updating account payables and receivables.
∎ Managing finical records in compliance with tax and accounting laws.
∎ Maintain, analyzes and prepare employee's wages and salary.
∎ Monitor and manage the month-end accounting processes;
∎ Logistical Support:
∎ Provide logistic support to GK staff in respect of tickets, accommodation, vehicle hire (when required).
∎ Ensure all official visitors to the organization's field office are treated with courtesy and respect;
∎ Administrative Support:
∎ Maintain office filing, inventory and storage systems with proper documentation, security, and accessibility.
∎ Take care of day-to-day admin support and payments of bills and vouchers with required supporting documents.
∎ Liable for maintaining all licenses & several agreements.
∎ Monitoring & maintaining all staff attendance, Movement, leave register, over time sheet, staff cafeteria, all log register, staff accommodation, asset Management etc.
∎ Ensure all proper record keeping as per policy.
∎ Any other task assigned by the supervisor/authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∎ FD-2, FD-3 & FD- 6, fill up
∎ Annual NGOAB Report writing
∎ Lave /personnel file
Salary:
∎ The gross monthly salary is 65,000 BDT per month but for the experienced applicant the salary could be negotiable.
