Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Carries out preventive maintenance of Air Conditioning equipment and systems.
∎ Responsible air conditioning technicians install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner.
∎ Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Air Conditioning equipment.
∎ Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the Air Conditioning equipment.
∎ Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.
∎ Assist in verification of Air Conditioning spares purchased/Supplied.
∎ Ensure that the Air Conditioning system is ON at the right time.
∎ Trouble shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on Air Conditioning equipment.
∎ Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.
∎ Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
∎ Make minor installation decisions.
∎ Perform regular cleaning of the equipment.
∎ Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed.
∎ Collect data for reports.
∎ Cost effective and efficient maintenance procedures.
∎ Efficient and effective Air Conditioning system.
