Education:

• Bachelor/Honors

• Age 20 to 35 years

• Excellent Bangla typing skills (Bijoy/Avro).
• Strong command over Bangla spelling, grammar, and language style.
• Ability to curate, edit, and publish news.
• Strong understanding of news value, fact-checking, and headline creation.
• Good knowledge of national and international current affairs.
• Ability to turn press releases into news quickly.
• Familiarity with SEO-friendly news writing (added advantage).
• Ability to multitask.
• Willing to work in a shift-based online newsroom environment.

Job Responsibilities - Sub Editor

Monitor and Collect News:

• Track reliable national and international news sources throughout the day to identify important, relevant, and trending stories.

Evaluate Credibility:

• Verify the authenticity of news using multiple reputable sources and ensure content is accurate, unbiased, and fact-checked.

Curate & Summarize Content:

• Select the most important stories and summarize them clearly, concisely, and contextually for the platform’s target audience.

Tagging & Categorization:

• Categorize news under correct topics (politics, business, tech, sports, international, etc.) and apply appropriate tags for easy discovery.

Maintain Editorial Standards:

• Ensure every update meets the company’s editorial style guidelines—clarity, neutrality, accuracy, and quality.

Real-Time Updates:

• Update stories promptly as situations develop and provide quick but verified follow-ups.

Coordinate with the Editorial Team:

• Work closely with editors, fact-checkers, and the product team to maintain consistency and quality of published content.

Spot Trends & Insights:

• Identify rising trends, breaking news windows, and audience-relevant topics to keep the platform ahead of competitors.

Content Scheduling:

• Plan and organize timely news pushes/publications based on user activity, relevance, and priority.

Quality Control:

• Ensure there are no misinformation risks, grammar errors, repetition, or missing context in any curated news story.
