Responsibilities & Context:

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Student Counselor to join our team at German Study Centre. The ideal candidate will guide students through the entire process of studying abroad — from university selection to visa application. This role requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for helping students achieve their academic and career goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Counseling & Guidance

  • Provide one-on-one counseling to students about study options in Germany and other European countries.

  • Assess students’ academic profiles, interests, and career goals to recommend suitable programs and universities.

  • Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and visa procedures clearly and accurately.

  • Guide students in preparing academic and financial documents for admission and visa applications.

2. Admission & Application Support

  • Assist students with university applications, documentation, and online portal submissions.

  • Follow up with universities for application status and communicate updates to students.

  • Prepare students for admission interviews or online assessments.

3. Visa Process Assistance

  • Support students in completing visa forms and preparing visa documentation.

  • Arrange and conduct mock interviews and briefings before visa appointments.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of embassy requirements and visa rules.

4. Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain strong relationships with partner universities and representatives.

  • Coordinate with the admissions department for offer letters and confirmations.

  • Keep regular communication with students and parents regarding progress and updates.

5. Administrative & Reporting Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, applications, and follow-ups in CRM or tracking systems.

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on counseling activities and conversion progress.

  • Participate in promotional events, seminars, and social media activities as required.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Business, Education, or related field).

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla.

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and customer service skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.).

  • Experience in the education consultancy field is an added advantage.
