Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor and assess the vital signs and overall condition of neonates.
∎ Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
∎ Perform and assist with various medical procedures and interventions.
∎ Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
∎ Use advanced equipment to monitor heart rate, breathing, oxygen levels, and other critical parameters.
∎ Adjust and calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings.
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress, treatments, and responses.
∎ Document any changes in the baby’s condition and report to the physician.
∎ Communicate with and support families, providing updates on their baby’s condition and treatment plan.
∎ Educate parents about neonatal care, including feeding, hygiene, and recognizing signs of distress.
∎ Work closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
∎ Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of care plans.
∎ Coordinate with other departments for necessary tests, procedures, and consultations.
∎ Ensure seamless communication between different shifts and staff members.
∎ Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
∎ Implement and monitor hand hygiene practices and aseptic techniques.Safety Measures:
∎ Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
