Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Dispensing Medications: Accurately filling prescriptions and ensuring the correct dosage, form, and route of administration.
∎ 2. Patient Consultation: Providing information to patients about medications, including potential side effects, interactions, and proper usage.
∎ 3. Medication Management: Reviewing patient medication regimens to ensure safety and efficacy, and recommending adjustments when necessary.
∎ 4. Collaborating with Healthcare Providers: Working alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
∎ 5. Health Screenings and Immunizations: Administering vaccines and conducting health screenings, such as blood pressure and cholesterol tests.
∎ 6. Monitoring Patient Outcomes: Following up with patients to assess their response to medications and making necessary recommendations.
∎ 7. Educating Patients and Community: Offering education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication adherence.
∎ 8. Managing Inventory: Overseeing the inventory of medications and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
∎ 9. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of prescriptions, patient interactions, and inventory management.
∎ 10. Staying Informed: Keeping up-to-date with new medications, therapies, and industry regulations.
