Responsibilities & Context:
Stepping-Stone International School Bangladesh (SISB), a leading English Medium School following the
Cambridge Curriculum, invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dedicated professionals for
the position of Senior Accounts and Administration Officer.
We are seeking a proactive, techno-savvy, and highly organized individual with strong expertise in
accounting, financial management, taxation, administration, and operational coordination. The ideal
candidate will possess excellent communication skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to
manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Candidates with prior experience in educational institutions
will receive preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts & Finance
Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and budgetary
control reports.
Manage payroll processing, salary disbursement, and employee-related financial records.
Maintain petty cash, bank accounts, and daily financial transactions.
Process payments, receipts, vouchers, and supporting documentation accurately.
Oversee student tuition fee collection, dues monitoring, and recovery of outstanding fees.
Handle utility bill payments, online transactions, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
Ensure proper maintenance and filing of financial records, expense reports, and supporting
documents.
Record and update financial transactions in accounting software and school management
systems.
Manage digital banking activities and online financial operations.
Assist management in financial planning, budgeting, and cost-control initiatives.
Taxation, VAT & Compliance:
Manage Income Tax, VAT, and other regulatory compliance matters.
Prepare and maintain tax-related documentation and reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, statutory requirements, and internal
policies.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities when required.
Administration & Operations:
Oversee procurement activities, vendor management, and administrative operations.
Prepare official correspondence, work orders, reports, notices, and administrative documents.
Coordinate logistical support for academic and co-curricular activities.
Ensure proper maintenance of school facilities, safety, security, and cleanliness standards.
Supervise attendance management systems, attendance device software, and school
management software.
Maintain and monitor student records, admission data, and institutional documentation.
Update and maintain the school website by publishing notices, announcements, and important
information.
Supervise support staff, monitor duty schedules, and evaluate performance.
Coordinate maintenance and servicing of electrical, IT, and office equipment.
Communication & HR Support:
Communicate professionally with parents through phone calls, emails, SMS, and other
communication channels.
Provide administrative and technical support to teachers and academic staff.
Assist in recruitment activities, employee record management, and other HR-related functions.
Support management in implementing institutional policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, VAT, and
administrative procedures.
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office applications, accounting software, school management
software, and online banking systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Educational Qualifications
BBA and MBA in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related discipline from a recognized
university.
Candidates who have completed CA (CC, Knowledge Level, Skills Level, or equivalent) partly or fully will be given preference.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounts, finance, and administration.
Experience in an English Medium School, College, University, or reputed educational institution
will be considered a significant advantage.
Experience in managing tax, VAT, payroll, budgeting, and administrative operations will be preferred.
