Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Deep understanding of the latest CIE marking schemes, assessment objectives and paper patterns.o        

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

 • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with:

·         Cambridge Lower Secondary English (Grades 7-10)

·         Cambridge GCE and IGCSE English Language

 • Develop and implement comprehensive schemes of work that cover all required skills, topics, and texts for each level.

 • Create stimulating classroom environments that foster language development, critical thinking, literary analysis, and effective communication across all age groups.

 • Utilise a variety of teaching Cambridge Examinations recommended methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities, including the integration of technology where appropriate.

 • Prepare students for Cambridge O level and A Level examinations at each level, including guidance on various question types, essay writing, and exam techniques.

 • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, using both formative and summative assessment techniques aligned with Cambridge standards for each level.

 • Provide detailed and constructive feedback on students' work, tailored to their level of study.

• Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and well-being through regular meetings and reports.

 • Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to ensure a cohesive curriculum from Cambridge Lower secondary through O and A Levels.
