Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Student Counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students and their guardians, understanding their academic and career goals, recommending suitable Korean universities and programs, and guiding them throughout the admission and visa preparation journey.

This is a senior-level, target-oriented position that requires strong knowledge of overseas education counselling, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust with students and parents. The candidate should be confident in handling student consultations independently and capable of contributing to the growth and performance of the counselling team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in international education, particularly higher education opportunities in South Korea, and a genuine commitment to helping students make informed decisions about their future.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide professional one-to-one counselling to students and guardians interested in pursuing higher education in South Korea.

  • Assess students’ academic backgrounds, career goals, financial capabilities, language proficiency, and overall profiles to recommend suitable universities, programs, and study pathways.

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding Korean universities, admission requirements, intakes, tuition fees, scholarships, language requirements, and available programs.

  • Guide students through the complete admission process, from initial counselling and university selection to application submission and admission confirmation.

  • Counsel students regarding the D-2 student visa process, required documentation, financial requirements, interview preparation, and overall visa readiness.

  • Review students’ academic and financial documents and identify potential issues before application or visa submission.

  • Coordinate with the admission, documentation, visa processing, and other internal teams to ensure smooth and timely processing of student applications.

  • Maintain regular communication and follow-up with prospective students and applicants throughout the counselling and application cycle.

  • Convert qualified leads into successful student enrolments while maintaining a professional, ethical, and student-focused counselling approach.

  • Handle student and parent queries confidently and resolve concerns with accurate information and appropriate guidance.

  • Maintain detailed records of counselling sessions, leads, applications, follow-ups, admissions, and enrolments in the company’s CRM or reporting system.

  • Meet individual and team counselling, application, and enrolment targets.

  • Follow up with prospective students through phone calls, meetings, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.

  • Conduct or participate in student seminars, university information sessions, education fairs, workshops, and promotional events when required.

  • Stay updated on changes in Korean university admission policies, scholarship opportunities, visa requirements, and study-abroad trends.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, university representatives, and relevant stakeholders.

  • Support junior counsellors by sharing knowledge, reviewing cases, and providing guidance on complex student profiles and applications.

  • Prepare regular reports on counselling activities, lead conversion, applications, admissions, and other relevant KPIs for management.

  • Ensure all counselling and application activities comply with company policies and maintain Korea Vision’s commitment to transparent and professional consultancy services.

  • Provide appropriate post-admission guidance and coordinate with relevant teams to support students before their departure for South Korea.
