Job Summary
The Senior Service Engineer is responsible for leading workshop operations, diagnosing complex vehicle faults, ensuring high-quality repairs, supervising technicians, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role requires strong technical expertise in modern passenger vehicles, including hybrid systems, while ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and hybrid system faults.
Supervise and guide service engineers and technicians during repair and maintenance work.
Allocate workshop jobs and monitor repair progress to ensure timely completion.
Perform advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic scanners and specialized equipment.
Review repair estimates and recommend appropriate repair procedures.
Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate job cards, technical reports, and service documentation.
Assist in handling technical customer complaints and provide effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies, workshop procedures.
Train and mentor junior technicians to improve technical competency.
Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure availability of required spare parts.
Keep up to date with new vehicle technologies and manufacturer service procedures.
