Experience:

• Post-Graduation with significant study in or pertinent to the specialized field (including but not limited to: international law, development studies, economics, international relations, anthropology, sociology, political science, disaster management, social work, climate change, or humanitarian affairs) etc. Any degree from foreign universities will be highly appreciable.

• Job Location: Country Office, Dhaka

• Report to: Manager - DRM and Climate Change

• Contract Duration: 03 Years

• Working Conditions: Major part of the working hour will be in the Country Office, with field visits and visits to government offices, CSO/NGO offices, partner offices and other stakeholder locations as required by the project.

Purpose:

The Project Officer – Advocacy will support the planning and implementation of advocacy activities under the project “Empowering Civil Society for Climate Justice and Environment Protection.” The role focuses on strengthening CSOs and EHRDs, advancing climate justice and environmental rights, addressing climate-induced displacement, developing advocacy strategies, generating evidence, building capacity, and supporting digital communication and knowledge management in collaboration with consortium partners and relevant stakeholders.

• Monthly Gross Salary: BDT 68,233/- (Taka Sixty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty-Three) only.
