Masters in Public Health, Health Management or any relevant medical subject would be an asset.
Experience and other Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in clinic or hospital management, preferably in low resources or humanitarian settings.
Additional competencies:
Prior experience in emergency response or in resource-limited settings like Bhasanchar or FDMN camps is highly desirable.
Experience working with government health systems and ability to liaise effectively with GoB authorities.
Strong leadership, team management, and coordination skills.
Willingness to be stationed in a remote location and work in challenging conditions.
Fluency in Bangla and English; knowledge of local dialect is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:
RTMI is looking for a qualified and dedicated medical doctor to serve as Senior Medical Officer cum Hospital Coordinator at the 20-bed hospital in Bhasanchar. The position will be supervised under the Program Manager and will also work in close coordination with the Civil Surgeon, Noakhali, to ensure effective, high-quality healthcare services for the community. The selected candidate will play a dual role in both managing overall hospital operations and providing senior-level clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the overall daily operations of the 20-bed hospital in Bhasanchar, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality service delivery.
Supervise all hospital staff, including medical officers, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, lab technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance monitoring.
Ensure effective implementation of hospital policies, clinical protocols, and standard operating procedures in line with organizational and national standards.
Coordinate patient flow and ensure proper triage, admissions, referrals, and discharges.
Manage and facilitate referral of critical or complicated cases from the 20-bed hospital to higher-level facilities in Noakhali, ensuring timely communication, proper documentation, and patient follow-up.
Lead and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) measures throughout the hospital to maintain patient and staff safety.
Manage hospital resources, including medicines, medical supplies, and equipment, ensuring rational use and timely replenishment.
Oversee administrative tasks such as staff rosters, leave schedules, and duty allocations to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
Monitor, compile, and submit accurate and timely hospital data and service reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to RTMI management and relevant authorities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital coordination with the Civil Surgeon, Noakhali, and other GoB health departments, as well as local partners and stakeholders.
Implement and oversee emergency preparedness and response activities, including outbreak and mass casualty management within the hospital.
Identify training and capacity-building needs and facilitate on-the-job training and mentorship of hospital staff.
Provide high-quality senior-level clinical services, including advanced diagnosis and management of complex cases, and support junior medical staff in clinical decision-making.
Oversee onboarding and induction for new clinical staff to ensure understanding of RTMI policies, PSEA commitments, and emergency response protocols.
Represent RTMI in local coordination forums (e.g., Civil Surgeon’s meetings, Health Cluster meetings, or NGO coordination platforms in Noakhali) as required.
Perform any other tasks assigned by RTMI authority to support program goals and organizational objectives.
