Experience:
Must have a B.Sc. in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery.
Must have an updated registration/license from the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).
Strong leadership ability and effective team management skills.
Ability to make prompt decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication skills with doctors, patients, attendants, and staff members.
Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel) and report preparation.
Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts when required.
Commitment to maintaining hospital discipline and adhering strictly to professional policies and procedures.
Must be honest, responsible, and possess high ethical standards.
Knowledge of medico-legal matters and incident reporting procedures
Practical experience in infection control and patient safety will be considered an advantage
Preparing the nursing duty roster for all shifts and ensuring adequate manpower in each shift.
Regularly supervising whether nursing care is being provided to patients according to established standards.
Monitoring the proper implementation of medical instructions provided by duty doctors or consultants.
Making quick, effective decisions during emergencies and coordinating with all relevant departments.
Providing regular training, guidelines, and counseling to all nurses and Patient Care Assistants (PCA).
Conducting regular physical inspections of nursing activities in Wards, Cabins, Emergency, NICU, OT and POU.
Hospital linen and other nursing assets must be properly maintained, used responsibly, and any loss promptly reported.
Receiving complaints from patients or their relatives and taking immediate steps for resolution.
Reporting any breach of discipline or negligence of duty to the higher authority immediately.
Ensuring the proper implementation of hospital policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in every department.
Preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly work reports to the management.
Ensuring that the handover process for each shift is completed accurately and smoothly.
Regularly auditing nursing documentation, such as vital charts, medication charts, and input-output charts.
Maintaining vigilant monitoring to prevent incorrect reporting, medication errors, or any form of clinical negligence.
Monitoring nursing staff attendance, late arrivals, or unauthorized absence from duty and reporting to HR.
Investigating and reporting immediately to the authority if any staff demands illegal money or tips from patients.
Taking creative initiatives to protect the hospital's overall image and continuously improve the quality of service.
Issue the discharge paper only after ensuring the payment of all outstanding dues.
Performing any additional administrative duties assigned by the hospital authority or management and assisting senior officials during special needs.
