∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ At least 3-5 year(s) experience in Research & Documentation.
∎ Proficiency in using Research and Documentation tools
∎ Understanding on labor rights, gender and human rights, working experience in the field of labor rights will be added advantage.
∎ Good interaction capacity will be preferred.
∎ Good command in MS Office, internet and other IT applications.
∎ Good team management and interaction capacity will be preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Research & Documentation Officer will be responsible for coordinating overall
∎ activities of the program under the active Guidance of the Project Coordinator.
∎ S/he will have to take part in the research work that project Officials with conduct.
∎ S/he will be responsible for high-quality documentation support of the program.
∎ Develop internal notes/ minutes from the calls for circulation with various team members and input during monthly review and planning meetings.
∎ S/he will have to compile Data collection, dissemination, and presentation.
∎ S/he will collect success stories and other positive achievements for sharing,
∎ learning, and advocacy.
∎ S/he will Ensure the correct use of reporting Guidelines and requirements for all
∎ reports and documents appropriate.
∎ S/he will have to uphold the values of Evidence Action.
∎ S/he will develop weekly and monthly activity plans and submit a Monthly Progress
∎ Report.
∎ S/he will support to consultant/focal person to publish the Report and Publication.
∎ S/he will assist in preparing ICT materials and publications.
∎ S/he will perform any other work assigned by the focal person and KN authority.
∎ Karmojibi Nari (KN) is going to start a new project titled ' Promoting Decent Work and Social Security for Internal Migrant Workers (IMWs) in Bangladesh’ for 10 months (from 01 August 2024 to 31 May 2025). Therefore, applications are being invited for the post of Research & Documentation Officer for this project.

∎ Job Location: Dhaka with frequent field visits

∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Executive Director /Additional Executive Director and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the ‘Promoting Decent Work and Social Security for Internal Migrant Workers (IMWs) in Bangladesh’ project. Research & Documentation Officer will Research Work and high-quality documentation support on this project.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Facilities will be provided as per organization & Project Policy after confirmation. Two days' weekend (Friday & Saturday)

∎ Karmojibi Nari (KN) is a right based women and women workers organization of Bangladesh. Founded in 1991 and has been working to establish rights, dignity and authority of women as well as the women workers. KN firmly believes that all women are `working women`. It is also convinced that women, who have come out of `home` to meet their economic needs, should protect themselves; and that will inspire others to be involved in the public sphere. This is why KN has been fighting for women?s `identity` as ?working women? and providing ?platform? for movement at national and grassroots level. Karmojibi Nari is not only a woman organization in the conventional sense; rather an organization of women-workers striving to establish rights, dignity and authority of women workers along with women and laborers. This is ever first of its kind in Bangladesh; KN is fighting relentlessly and advancing with success in a view to liberating women movement from the domination of aristocracy and upper class and labor movement from the domination of patriarchy through upholding the agenda of women workers as they are the vanguard for social changes in Bangladesh. In this regard KN has been implementing various projects for the Readymade Garment Workers in Bangladesh. As an activist?s organization, KN also built up awareness of the cell members to increase the capacity and skills to deal with violence against women in family, community and working places since its inception.
