Responsibilities & Context:

The Context:

Hijra and marginalize people often confront stigma, prejudice, discrimination and sometimes violence based on their gender identity. The Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights report also documented widespread discrimination in employment, education, health and other areas of Hijra and marginalize persons around the world.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:·        

  • Work as a team and with the community to integrate the approach and effort in promoting the goals and objectives of the project.·        

  • Prepare detail monthly work plan including outreach with attention to youth dimensions of technical activities and operations and discuss issues and priorities with project senior management and other technical personnel.·        

  • Provide technical support to outreach/link associates to conduct outreach activities at field and SRH Clinic as well; Provide technical support to outreach/link associates HIV, STI screening and HIV self-testing·        

  • Support program participants for receiving mental health and gender-based violence (GBV) support·        

  • Provide training to volunteer organizations of young people in leadership, community organizing, life skills, and active citizenship;·        

  • Assists the team for arranging different advocacy events, meetings, workshops with various stakeholders·        

  • Establish and maintain consistent, close relationships with other youth serving CBOs, agencies and organizations and health service providers for referral, early intervention response, and networking.·        

  • Attend local, regional, and national project meetings and trainings, as needed, to promote the project program.·        

  • Engage available and active youth networks and organizations in the planning and implementation of project activities.·        

  • Support to development of youth monitoring and evaluation indicators for the project.·        

  • Develop appropriate youth resources and tools for project staff.·        

  • Coordination and collaboration with different platform for networking and partnership building with the youth and volunteers networks, national and local authorities, non-government, private sector and international development organizations or projects;·        

  • Ensure availability of an up-to-date information on all critical issues related to youth development and volunteers related areas;·        

  • Youth active life style concept updated and promoted; Evidence based strategic planning for gender equitable youth development supported.·        

  • Support team in documentation and reporting of different events/meetings/trainings etc.
